JOE CARROLL
Joe joined Stolar in 2016 and oversees all aspects of investment activity. In addition to formulating Stolar’s strategy that includes market selection and investment criteria, Joe reviews potential investments, tours properties, negotiates terms, and structures the investment documents with our legal partners. Joe has extensive experience structuring both preferred equity and debt, and at Stolar, has led transactions across multiple investment strategies in various states throughout the country.
Prior to joining Stolar Capital, Joe worked for The Related Companies in New York City and focused on Hudson Yards, a 28-acre, $20 billion development on the west side of Manhattan. Joe began his career with The JBG Companies (now JBG SMITH) in Washington, DC, in their investments group. Joe received his B.A. with a concentration in Finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and his M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance & Real Estate from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

KYLE LAND
Kyle joined Stolar Capital in 2013 and oversees asset management of our preferred equity investments. Leveraging his experience as an asset manager for Stolar’s portfolio of multifamily properties, Kyle brings unique hands-on experience to Stolar’s preferred equity management practices. Kyle helps to vet prospective investment opportunities by reviewing construction assumptions for feasibility. Post closing, he will frequently walk portfolio investments to assess the quality of work and ensure the business plan is being executed on schedule and on budget. He regularly coordinates with our operating partners to review financial performance and business plan execution.
Kyle has extensive experience working on a broad array of projects including residential rehabilitation, ground up development of single-family homes, commercial space renovations, and sourcing materials for jobs via various supply chains. In his history at Stolar, Kyle has overseen over 150 different renovation projects. Kyle received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

KYLE PETRELLI
Kyle founded Stolar in 2012 and is responsible for sourcing prospective investments through a variety of channels. Maintaining relationships with both national and regional advisory firms and operators to source opportunities Kyle has developed a network of hundreds of deal providers. Kyle reviews potential investments and sponsors, underwrites deals, and reviews market comps to evaluate assumptions. Kyle sourced Stolar’s existing and past portfolio of multifamily assets, working with brokers and sponsors to find attractive opportunities in the middle market space.
Kyle began his career in the investment banking division at JPMorgan Chase. Following this role, he went to CBRE, where he worked in the Global Brokerage division in their Midtown Manhattan office. Kyle received his B.A. degree from Columbia University and his M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance & Statistical Analysis from the Smith School at the University of Maryland.
